Instructions

I like to do all my die cutting, shaping and coloring first. Using a patterned yellow cardstock from the Backyard Blossom Paper Pad, die cut 1 honeycomb die. Stamp your botanical rose and leaves, I have used the 3 of the same size flowers and 3 leaves. Color your flowers with the Stack and Store Daubers using the Cantaloupe ink and your leaves with the peeled paint. Spray lightly with your mini mister and shape using your Deluxe Flowers Shaping Kit, add small pearl stamens to the center. Trim a light blue patterned mat from your Sweet as Honey Paper Pad 2”x 1 3/8” and stamp with the “You are sweeter than honey” sentiment using the Smokey Grey ink. Stamp your Bee using the Sweet as Honey Stamp set with the Espresso Truffle, color all over in Antique Linen and highlight the body with Wild Honey. Stamp your maiden once full and once just the wings section using the Honey Bee Maidens Stamp set using the Espresso Truffle ink, color your maiden using E50, E51, for the face, arms, legs, R20 cheeks, BG000, BG07 wings, W8,100 shoes, E51, E55, Y35 hair, Y35 bodice, Y35, Y38 stripes, 100 stripes. Fussy cut out the center of the wing section and color using the BG000, BG07. Adhere to main maiden so the wing can be folded upwards. Stamp the honey pot and house from the Honey Bee Bungalows in Espresso Truffle, color the honey pot all over in the Antique Linen, highlight the dipper with E55 and the honey pot with E51, Y35, Y38. Color your house all over in Antique Linen, color the roof in BG000 and highlight in BG02, highlight the windows, door and house shadows in E55, W6 cobblestones, BG02 planter, RV34, G21 flowers and leaves. Using Crystal Glaze highlight the honey in the pots, the roof and door frame and window frame on the house, the body of the bee, the stripes and bag of the maiden. Using stickles highlight the wings and bodice of the maiden, the flowers and cobblestones on the house. When the roof glaze is dry add a little stickles.

Cut your card base using the white cardstock 12 1/8” x 6 1/8”. Fold your card in half, I like to run a bone folder over the spine of the card to give it a clean finish.   Cut 1 white mat 2 ½” x 1 7/8”. Using a light blue card, cut 4 mats 5 ¾” x 5 ¾”, 1 mat 2 5/8” x 1 1/8”, 1 mat 2 ¼” x 1 5/8”. Using the Patterned cardstock from the Sweet as Honey Paper Pad, cut 4 mats 5 1/2” x 5 1/2”.  Trim the “you are Bee-utiful” sentiment from the pad.

Now you have all your elements done you can assemble your card. Adhere your patterned mats to the matching light blue mats. Adhere your card front, inserts and card back. Using 3d adhesive in the center of the honeycomb adhere down and now place a dot of glue in each corner and adhere in place. Using 3d adhesive adhere your maiden. Adhere your sentiment to its matching light blue mat and using 3d adhesive adhere slightly under your maiden. Using 3d adhesive adhere your house. Adhere your honey pot. Adhere your flowers beside the left side of your maiden. Adhere your bee and fold up his wings. On the inside left adhere your sentiment and adhere the honey pot to the left side. Highlight the coneflower centers on the card front with stickles.

White card for stamping and die cutting, Ranger Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink for stamping flowers, Brilliance Pearlescent Coral and Brilliance Crimson Copper ink for coloring flowers, Color Box Olive Pastel Chalk ink for stamping leaves, Memento Pistachio ink for coloring leaves, bonbonniere box, pink sheer ribbon.

Instructions

I like to do all my die cutting, shaping and coloring first. Die cut your Decorative Medallion Die using white cardstock.  Using your Luggage and Tag die set, cut our your Celebrate tag. TIP:  when stamping with Pigment ink you will have to let it dry or set with a heat gun before die cutting and coloring to avoid smudging.  Using your Peony Bud and Blossom stamp set, stamp the small peony bud and using your Small Peony stamp set stamp the medium peony using Worn Lipstick. When your stamped images have dried, die cut with coordinating dies.  Color your peonies in Pearlescent Coral and your leaves in Memento Pistachio.  Using your mini mister lightly spray your flowers, shape using the 3D Floral Basics Shaping Mold, when dry just highlight the edges of your flowers with the Crimson Copper Ink. Shape your peony bud using your Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.  TIP: I like to use the metal stamen wire and curl them for added effect. I have done this on the outer flowers and the smaller flowers. I adhere my flower well in place and then using a skewer or a pen or a stylus handle (depending on the size of the curl required) I curl the wire around and skewer and slide of to give this beautiful curled wired effect.  You can do this before you adhere your flower or when it is secured very well in place.
Using 3 shaped flowers add 2 stamens to the centre, curl your wires, one to each side. Adhere to your peony bud so leaves are at the bottom.

Now you have all your elements done, you can complete your bonbonniere.  Using your Designer Dries Clear adhesive, apply a little to a sponge and apply over the front of your bonbonniere box and adhere your Decorative Medallion die cut, when dry trim of the excess on the edges.  Tie a bow and adhere in the top center, it is best to use a hot glue gun. Also using the hot glue gun adhere your flowers. Line up and adhere your “Celebrate” sentiment.

Die cutting machine, trimmer, scissors, mini mister, croppadile or eyelet setting tool, white card for stamping, Ranger Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink for stamping flowers, Brilliance Pearlescent Coral ink for coloring flowers, Color Box Olive Pastel Chalk ink for stamping leaves, Memento Pistachio ink for coloring leaves, pink sheer ribbon, Green Tara Pearl Clusters Ivory, 2 silver eyelets, white gift bag.

Instructions

I like to do all my die cutting, shaping and coloring first. Using white cardstock Die cut 2 each of the Decorative Medallion half circles. Using white cardstock cut a mat 8cm x 2.5cm. Stamp this with “A gift of love” stamp, trim the left side to a point.  TIP:  when stamping with Pigment ink you will have to let it dry or set with a heat gun before die cutting and coloring to avoid smudging. Using your Large Sweet Peony Stamp Set, stamp the flowers 2 times – (4 flowers in total, I used all 4 flowers to make 1 large), using the Distress Oxide Worn Lipstick ink. Using your Peony Bud and Blossom stamp set, stamp your Large bud 2 times using a mixture of the Olive Pastel on the leaves and the Worn Lipstick on the bud.  When your stamped images have dried, use your stack and store daubers to color your flowers using the Brilliance Pearlescent Coral and the leaves using the Memento Pistachio ink. Once dried die cut with matching dies on your die cutting machine.  Using your mini mister lightly spray your flowers and leaves, shape your flowers and leaves using a Heartfelt Mold or your Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.  Adhere your pearl cluster to the flower centers.

I have used a ready-made gift bag for this project because I wanted white, but you can use the beautiful cardstock in the paper collections to create your bags. Cut of the top of your gift bag to give you the desired height. Adhere your half circle dies to the top of each side of your bag. Using a croppadile or an eyelet setting tool place a silver eyelet on the top center of each side of the bag. Arrange and adhere your flowers as pictured. I have used the “A gift of love” stamp from the Celebrate the Season collection but you could also choose a sentiment from the Sweet Peony Collection. Adhere your sentiment just under the top of the flower as pictured.  Fill you back with filling before placing you gift inside and finish off with a pretty pink bow on top.

HCD1-7174 Large Sweet Peony Die

Other Products

Die cutting machine, trimmer, scissors, mini mister, bone folder, white card for stamping, white linen card, 3d adhesive, Ranger Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink for stamping flowers, Brilliance Pearlescent Coral ink for coloring flowers, Color Box Olive Pastel Chalk ink for stamping leaves, Memento Pistachio ink for coloring leaves, pink sheer ribbon, Green Tara Pearl Clusters Ivory.

Instructions

I like to do all my die cutting, shaping and coloring first. TIP:  when stamping with Pigment ink you will have to let it dry or set with a heat gun before die cutting and coloring to avoid smudging. Using your Large Sweet Peony Stamp Set, stamp the flowers 2 times – (4 flowers in total, I used all 4 for 1 large flower) using the Distress Oxide Worn Lipstick ink. Using the Large Sweet Peony Stamp set stamp the medium leaf 6 times using the Color Box Olive Pastel Ink. Using your Small Sweet Peony Stamp set, stamp the largest double peony 3 times – (6 flowers in total, I used 3 for each small flower). Using your Peony Bud and Blossom stamp set, stamp your Large bud once using a mixture of the Olive Pastel on the leaves and the Worn Lipstick on the bud. When your stamped images have dried, use your stack and store daubers to color your flowers using the Brilliance Pearlescent Coral. and the leaves with Memento Pistachio ink. Once dried die cut with coordinating dies on your die cutting machine.  Using your mini mister lightly spray your flowers and leaves, shape your flowers and leaves using a Heartfelt Mold or your Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Adhere your pearl cluster to the flower centers.

Cut your card base using the white linen cardstock 12” x 6 1/8”. Fold your card in half, I like to run a bone folder over the spine of the card to give it a clean finish. Trim the selected mat from the Sweet Peony Collection, trim this down to 5 7/8” x 5 7/8”. Using your large and small circle dies find the matching size die
to cut the circle from the center of the mat (set aside for the inside of your card). Using the frame of the mat adhere this to your card front, you will now have a white circle in the center, using the same circle die cut out the white section of the card to give you a aperture opening. Using the die cut floral circle (I used the opposite side of the cardstock) place some adhesive on this and with your card closed adhere through the opening of the aperture to the inside of the card, this insures your circle will line up with the opening. Using the scalloped circle die, cut a mat with your white cardstock and then using the same circle die cut used to cut out your floral, line it up over the scalloped die cut to create a frame, this will get adhered on the front side of your card to highlight the aperture.

Now you have all your elements done, you can complete your card. Adhere the flowers, I have hung them over the opening slightly so that you can see it through the aperture. Using 3d adhesive adhere the “Have a Beautiful day” sentiment and you can loop the tail at the bottom of the blossom stamp through your sentiment.
