I
like to do all my die cutting, shaping and coloring first. TIP: Use an antistatic pad to wipe your vellum
and cardstock first before stamping, it creates a static free environment so
that only your stamped image is embossed. When using a heat gun, don’t get too close
to your cardstock or it will get a brown tinge.
Using
the Butterfly Kisses stamp set, stamp the butterfly on white cardstock using
your White Versacolor Ink, then cover completely in white embossing powder,
shake of the excess and heat with your heat gun. I have colored this image using Broken
China. Using the Sweet as Honey stamp
set, stamp the honeycomb pattern twice across the card, once with the flowers
facing up in the left corner and once down with the flowers in the bottom
right corner on white cardstock using your White Versacolor Ink, then cover
completely in white embossing powder, shake of the excess and heat with your
heat gun. I have lightly colored over
this image using Broken China.

Using shades of blue
from your Sweet as Honey paper pad, die cut 5 hexagons 3 lighter and 2 darker.
Work out where your wish your hexagons to line up and using your Butterfly
Kisses sentiment stamp, stamp along the bottom of your card, note that you want
your bottom hexagon to sit in the first curve.
Cut your card base using the white cardstock 11”
x 6 1/4”. Fold your card in half, I like to run a bone folder over the spine of
the card to give it a clean finish. Using a blue Patterned cardstock from the
Backyard Blossoms Paper Pad, cut your front mat 6” x 5 1/4”.
Now you have all your elements done
you can assemble your card. Adhere your front blue mat to your card front. Adhere
your white card front. First adhere your bottom darker color hexagon in the
curve of the sentiment. Using 3d adhesive adhere the 3 center hexagons.
Adhere your last darker blue hexagon flat on top of the middle hexagons.
Adhere your butterfly with only glue down the center so you can fold up the
wings. Adhere a blue rhinestone on the top section of the butterfly.
