Instructions

Die cut your Gift of Love box base die 4 times using white cardstock, you will have 4 box sides, cut the sides so you are left with only the bottom sections, see picture above.

Fold along the bone fold lines on your side panels. Use a bone folder to get a precise fold. Top flap bends back and the side flap bends towards you, repeat 4 times.  Glue or tape together (use art glitter glue or wonder tape) starting on the left and overlapping on each side so as to conceal all the joins to the center of your box.

Using white cardstock cut 3 cross bars 3 ½” x 3/4”. Fold in each end ½” so you are left with 2 ½’ in the center. Adhere your three crossbars spaced evenly inside your box. Using your Sweetheart Borders Die cut 4 strips, cut down to 2 ½”. Adhere under the flaps.

From your Sweet as Honey Paper Pad, die cut the below elements. I also cut 3 bees from the Sweet as Honey Paper Pad not pictured below. Decorate with stickles as crystal glaze as desired, let everything dry before you assemble the box.

Cut 4 acetate strips 2 ½” x 1”. Adhere these under the bungalows. Cut 1 acetate strips 1” x 4” for the largest maiden. Cut 2 strips acetate ½” x 4” for the remaining maidens. I like to use acetate so I can place my elements in just the right place.

Using the below panels cut 3 mats 2 ½” x 2 1/2”.  I have used the fairy and then I have used the top of panels, the tree line and sky. Adhere to the underside of the box. Later you will be adding a piece of honeycomb to the left and right sides.

Using the 3 tags cut 3 mats 2 ½” x 2 ½”. First tag I have trimmed the top and tag 2 and 3 I trimmed the bottom. Adhere to the front and side panels.

Using the below panels cut 1 mats 2 ½” x 2 7/8”.

From the off cut of the sky cut 1 mat 1” x 3” and using your Sweet as Honey set, stamp “you are Bee-utiful”, trim it to a tag with a top and tail.

Select a blue cardstock from the Sweet as Honey Paper Pad and cut 1 mat 2 ½” x 6 7/8”. This will be for the back of the box to conceal all the joins, strengthen the box and give you somewhere to write your message.

Using the Sun Kissed Fleur set stamp on white cardstock using Archival Jet-Black Ink. Using your Stack and Store daubers color your flowers with Cantaloupe Ink and your leaves with Peeled Paint ink. Shape with your Deluxe Flower Shaping
Kit. Apply varying size pearls to flower centers.

Select a yellow cardstock from your Backyard Blossoms Paper Pad and die cut 1 honeycomb piece using your Sweet as Honey die. Tear into 3 pieces, 1 for the front panel and 1 for the left and right undersides. Adhere the undersides.

From the picture below, you can see how each layer is adhered to create your pop-up box.
Front Panel – Adhere your honeycomb top right corner, apply glue to the tip of your tag and half way, hold in place at the tip, push up and hold the center and curl up the tail, adhere your Sun Kissed Fleur flowers and leaves.

Left Side – Using 3d adhesive adhere your honey pot, adhere your Sun Kissed flower and leaf

Layer 1 – Adhere your bungalow to the front wall of the box not the first crossbar. Adhere a bee with only glue down the center so you can fold up his wings.

Layer 2 – Adhere 1 bungalow to the right and 1 maiden to the left to the front of the first crossbar. Adhere 1 small Sun Kissed flower to the Maiden’s hand.

Layer 3 – Adhere 1 bungalow to the left and 1 honey pot with a bee coming out on acetate to the right to the front of the second crossbar. Adhere 1 small Sun Kissed flower to the top of the Bungalow.

Layer 4 – Adhere 1 bungalow to the right and 1 maiden to the left to the front of the third crossbar.

Back Panel – Adhere the patterned mat to the bottom, adhere the sentiment above. Adhere your largest fairy up the back. Adhere your bee to the left only with adhesive in the center and bend up his wings. Adhere your Sun Kissed flowers and leaves to the right side.

Back of box – Adhere the blue mat to conceal the back in. Using 3d adhesive adhere your sentiment. Adhere your bee to the left only with adhesive in the center and bend up his wings.

This is what I love about a pop-up box, it lays flat, so when sending your box, you can create an envelope or bag, it will lay flat when flattened to the left or right; the layers will overlap to sit flat.

Hope you were inspired by my pop up box
